EMTs & Paramedics with AMR Ratify Contract
End Months of Strained Negotiations
After nearly six months of troubled negotiations, the EMTs and Paramedics of American Medical Response have voted to ratify a new three-year contract.

Tensions between the EMS professionals and AMR had threatened to boil over into a strike at least once during negotiations. Recently, however, both the union and the company committed themselves to creating a sustainable working relationship. It took a lot of work on everybody’s part, but a respectable agreement was reached.

The agreement calls for pay raises over the three-year life of the contract and stronger protections for workers in areas such as scheduling, hold-overs, and discipline. Congratulations Everyone!
