We’re thrilled to announce that we’ve won a tentative union agreement with Consumer Direct management. The agreement, which is the first union contract for Nevada home care workers in recent history, includes:
- Wages of $17 per hour.
- A strong voice through a Labor-Management Committee to address issues including health and safety.
- No out of pocket costs for mandatory training.
- Union rights and a fair disciplinary process with a neutral arbitrator to make final decisions.
- A commitment to work together with management to continue advocating for home care in government.
This is a major victory for home care workers and a strong foundation that we will continue to build on!

Union Members Have the Right to Vote on Our Contract!
When: January 23rd - 25th
How: Members will receive instructions for online voting.
Now, we all need to become union members so we can continue to raise our wages, win more home care funding and advocate for our clients.
- There’s more strength in numbers, and the more members we have, the more we can achieve in our contracts moving forward.
- Only members get to vote on our contracts and other issues in our union.

Estamos encantados de anunciar que hemos conseguido un acuerdo provisional de unión con la dirección de Consumer Direct. El acuerdo, que es el primer contrato de unión para los trabajadores de cuidados en el hogar de Nevada en la historia reciente, incluye:
